Online Access Centre

Located within The Hub at 38 Lighthouse Street, Currie, our Online Access Centre provides access to technology and internet services for the community.

  • Public-use laptops available for $3/hour
  • Free Wi-Fi access
  • Space to complete online applications, forms and training
  • Support available from staff when needed

Bookings are not required.

Use the Hub

The Hub is a community space in the heart of Currie, available for locals, community groups, businesses and visitors to use.

Need somewhere to sit and work, meet with someone, access Wi-Fi or simply get out of the house for a change of scenery? Pop in, bring the kids, grab a coffee and make yourself comfortable.

The Hub can also be booked for private meetings, workshops, community activities, events and other functions. We have two separate spaces available, so whether you need a quiet room for a meeting or a larger space for a group, get in touch and we can talk through what might work for you.

One-on-one Tech Help and Digital Support

Technology can be frustrating, but you don't have to figure it out alone.

Our team can provide one-on-one assistance with:

  • MyGov digital ID and other online services
  • Online bookings and appointments
  • Video calls and online meetings
  • Scam identification and safety
  • General digital confidence and skills

Whether you're completely new to technology or just need help with a specific task, we're happy to assist. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome.

KIRDO maintains both the King Island Community Directory and Website Directory to help connect residents, visitors, businesses and community organisations.

Looking for a local service, business, tradesperson or community group? Our team can help point you in the right direction. Give us a call, send us an email or pop into The Hub and we'll do our best to help you find the information you're looking for.
