Artist talk – Kirstie Rea

Over the past three decades Kirstie has developed her practice to become one of Australia’s most influential, successful and respected artists working in glass.

Whilst the forms may have radically changed, the work has always been inspired by her love of outdoor spaces, in particular looking at the details within those landscapes.

At this talk Kirstie will share images from her practice, reflect about her time on the island and explain how she creates glass into magical shapes. Everyone is welcome to come along to this free event, it’s happening Friday 18 November, 5:30pm-7:30pm at The King Island Cultural Centre, Nibbles will be provided, BYO drinks
