The Festival of King Island is an all-ages annual community musical event (end of Jan / start of Feb) held at Currie Harbour! FOKI combines Australia’s best musical talent + the island’s best food produce and welcoming/friendly locals.
For Year 2022, the Festival will be on January 28-29 at Currie Harbour.
Phoenix Community House incorporates the King Island Men’s Shed and the King Island Community Garden with the vision to create a safe environment, accessible to all, where people are accepted for who they are and are supported to grow and learn.
Phoenix Community House is located at the top of Meech Street in Currie, behind the King Island Community Garden. Staff are rostered on from 10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and any enquiries regarding the complex or Phoenix Community House and its programs are warmly welcome.
The complex consists of an activity room with kitchen facilities and a visiting service providers office – both are available for hire for a small fee. Please contact the Phoenix House on 03 6462 1746 for further details.
King Island Men’s Shed is situated behind the Community Garden at the top of Meech Street in Currie. It is open Wednesday from 10am -2 pm for a range of projects including wood-working, bus tours and social afternoon for men.
